Context
Baemingo develops and provides a complete platform for restaurants, bars, cafes, and retail. Baemingo mainly develops an ecosystem that includes cash register solutions with table management, QSR cash register systems, digital kitchen screens, express cash registers, "white label app" and everything controlled via a back office system. Baemingo's vision is to design a product that appeals both visually and functionally, and thus enables a faster workflow that increases cash flow to its full potential. The ultimate goal is to completely digitize order communication, receipt management and create a complete way to analyze your business via a complete back office system.

My role
I was mainly active with the UX / frontend team. As part of the product development, I worked with research and usabilitytesting as well as high fi design and copywriting. Through my career in the restaurant industry, I had great insight into the target group, which benefited both me as a designer and also my coworkers.
Main goal
"Develop a good understanding of working as a UX designer in an agile development teams or project groups"
Workflow and layout
Baemingo works mainly with Design Thinking and Lean UX in two-week long sprints. It starts with a sprint start / team check in, where you review the upcoming sprint and the Product Owner tells you what needs to be focused on. Here, all teams are involved and participate. During the weeks, the teams hold separate standups when needed, and meetings are held between each other when needed. The sprint ends with a demo and retro. This is where the whole company coincides, where everyone gets to see what they have worked on and what they plan to develop during the coming sprints.
Beamingo works on all products continuously and because the products are live and constantly under development in parallel, user needs can change quickly. This allows the focus to change direction several times during a sprint, which was interesting and challenging.
White label app
The white label app became my core project at Baemingo, and here I spent most of my time. I developed a lot in Figma through this project, mainly to work with components, autolayout and 8pt grid.

Table service restaurant / Quick service restaurant
On the side of WL, I worked a lot with TSR / QRS, especially with copywriting as I have good register habits and understanding of how users think when they manage the cash registers. It was a big challenge because the two modes react and affect each other, so it was important to be careful in copying.

QSR Order to app design upgrade
In QSR mode, you can see incoming orders from the restaurant's WL app. When the order arrives, you are notified via a modal that is integrated into the QSR mode. My task was to upgrade the old design both visually and functionally. I took elements from the digital kitchen screens to keep the continuity and give a little extra nudge.
